Mr. Johnny Manahan it all began in April 1992 when Freddie M Garcia ( then Executive Vice President & General Manager for ABS-CBN), together with Johnny Manahan( then Program Director), hatchedthe idea of creating a stable of new stars exclusively for ABS-CBN. It was launched in October of the same year and was supported by many exposure-driven activities for the talent such as mall shows, live concerts & even record albums.

Within 2 years of Talent center, 4 major concerts have been staged, and record albums released by its prime talents have turned gold, even platinum. In October of 1994, Ang TV Generation 2 was launched featuring new stars KAYE ABAD, CAROL BANAWA, MARCK VERNAL, and MARC SOLIS. Talent Center countinued to grow and the reputation of its artists also gaining.
